Aromatherapy Classes

Hands on Healing Institute students will learn the nature of Aromatherapy, a holistic healing practice, and the essential oils, to bring physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual imbalances into balance. Memories and emotions might surface during the course of any aromatherapy class. This is, like in massage or any other healing practice, part of the session and the training.

 

Note: Aromatherapy I, II and III do not need to be taken sequentially, you may be taken classes in any order. However, Aromatherapy I, II and III must be taken before advancing to Aromatherapy IV.

Aromatherapy I

8 Hours      $127 + oils

 

Course description:

This is an excellent detailed introduction to essential oils. Students will learn about Aromatherapy and explore the many healing properties of essential oils, discover how to connect with the oils, and how to use them for your own healing and that of your clients.

Oils to be studied: Lavender, Eucalyptus and Rosemary

 

Required supplies:

Set of twin sheets

A journal

2 or 3 towels

2 heavy palm-sized stones

Foot bath or tub

Aromatherapy II

20 Hours      $285 + oils

  

Course description:

Aromatherapy is the practice of skillfully integrating essential oils in a wide variety of application methods and treatment forms to prevent illness, and to enhance and maintain physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual health.

 

Aromatherapy II is a class that introduces you in more detail to the potency and effects of therapeutic essential oils, as well as how they work physically.

 

This class is ideal for all healing practitioners to enhance their own well-being as well as their clients, and to become a skillful, professional Aromatherapist.

 

Oils to be studied:

1.      Frankincense

2.      Lemon

3.      Tea Tree

4.      Rose Geranium

5.      Ylang-Ylang

6.      Clary Sage

 

  • Essential Oil profiles for all oils mentioned above.
  • Overview of professional application- Medicine, psychology, cosmetology, massage
  • How essential oils enter the body- Olfactory System and Skin
  • Terminology in Aromatherapy
  • Application Methods: Baths, Inhalation, Aroma lamps, Aromatic Sprays, and Compresses.

Aromatherapy III

20 Hours      $285 + oils

 

Course description:

Aromatherapy is the practice of skillfully integrating essential oils in a wide variety of application methods and treatment forms to prevent illness, and to enhance and maintain physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual health.

 

The essential oils studied in Aromatherapy III are designed to help you with your own growth and healing. This will enhance your life and, in turn, you will help your clients as an Aromatherapist. The oils have a healing effect on physical, emotional, mental and spiritual imbalances.

 

Oils to be studied:

1.  Petitgrain

2.  Ginger

3.  Cedarwood

4.  Fennel

5.  Bergamot

6.  Patchouli

 

·          Essential Oil profiles for all oils mentioned above

·                Different ways of grounding depending on the essential oil used

·         Footbath treatment

·         Learning to choose the appropriate essential oil for your client

Aromatherapy IV

32 Hours      $441 + oils

 

Course description:

Aromatherapy is the practice of skillfully integrating essential oils in a wide variety of application methods and treatment forms to prevent illness, and to enhance and maintain physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual health.

 

Aromatherapy IV and the essential oils included in this class are designed to help you experience the healing effects of essential oils for physical, emotional, mental and spiritual imbalances. In this class you get an introduction to a formal aromatherapy session, including a footbath treatment. This class will also help your own growth and healing, which is a necessity and a life enhancement for you the Aromatherapist, and your clients.

 

This class also introduces you to Aromatherapy Pressure Points using Muscle Ease.

 

Oils to be studied:

1. Black Pepper

2. Roman Chamomile

3. Sandalwood

4. Neroli

5. Cypress

6. Helichrysum**

7. Muscle Ease

 

** In order to hold down the cost of oils, you will not receive Helichrysum oil in this class.  It will be studied and you will be able to smell it.  The current price of 5ml Helichrysum is $171.04 includes tax.  If you wish to purchase this oil, it will have to be prepaid and will take approximately 2 weeks for delivery.

Aromatherapy V

32 Hours      $441

  

Course description:

Aromatherapy is the practice of skillfully integrating essential oils in a wide variety of application methods and treatment forms to prevent illness, and to enhance and maintain physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual health.

 

In Aromatherapy V we concentrate on aromatherapy treatments, Aromatherapy Pressure Points, and Aromatherapy Pressure Massage full body treatment.

 

Oils to be studied:  To Be Announced

 

  • Essential Oil profiles for all oils mentioned above.
  • General and specialty application – general application methods for skin, respiratory system, immune system, muscular/skeletal, cardiovascular/lymphatic, digestive, reproductive and nervous systems. Specialty application on Aromatherapy Pressure Points.
  • Explanation of common medicinal property terms
  • Intake Interview
  • Footbath – Massage combo
  • Aromatherapy Pressure Massage full body treatment

Eight small flip-top bottles

Carrier oil

Aromatherapy Blending

7 hours     $142

 

Course description:

This class will teach students how to create their own blends with essential oils. Students will learn the difference of blending for therapeutic reasons vs. perfumes. Blends for different types of therapeutic conditions will be taught, plus an opportunity to create blends for their own needs.  Students will need to bring their own essential oils, plus a set of sheets.

 

Required Supplies: Total cost includes 8-ounce Hands on Healing Base Blending Oil and three 1-ounce plastic bottles for blending. Students will need to bring their own essential oils.

 

Prerequisite:  Aromatherapy I, II and III
