Craniosacral Therapy: Level I - Feb 2027
Introduction to the skills and techniques of this gentle, light-touch modality
Description
Discover the gentle, subtle approach of Craniosacral Therapy and learn how to assess and work with the craniosacral system through light touch, listening skills, and specific hands-on techniques. This introductory course explores the anatomy and physiology of the craniosacral system while developing your ability to listen through your hands, recognize areas of restriction, and facilitate gentle releases. Through lecture, demonstration, and supervised practice, students will learn foundational techniques for working with the cranium, sacrum, dural tube, transverse diaphragms, and temporomandibular joint (TMJ). The class emphasizes developing palpation skills, refining touch, and integrating individual techniques into a comprehensive 10-Step Enhanced Protocol. By the end of this three-day course, students will have a foundation in Craniosacral Therapy techniques that can be incorporated into their existing bodywork practice, providing additional tools to support relaxation, mobility, and whole-body integration. Topics include: History, anatomy, and physiology of the craniosacral system Light touch and listening stations Still Point (CV-4) Transverse releases of the pelvis, diaphragm, thoracic inlet, and hyoid Occipital cranial base and sacral mobilization Dural tube rocking and gliding Frontal and parietal lifts Sphenobasilar compression-decompression Temporal bone techniques TMJ compression-decompression Integration and practice of the 10-Step Enhanced Protocol CEUs: 21 hours SCHEDULE: FRI FEB 05 • 10am - 6pm (1hr for Lunch) SAT FEB 06 • 10am - 6pm (1hr for Lunch) SUN FEB 07 • 10am - 6pm (1hr for Lunch) A digital PDF of course materials is included.
